Ronald KingMr. Ronald W. King, relocated to Washington DC from Philadelphia,PA in June 2010 to serve as Assistant Inspector General for Audits. Mr. King’s responsibilities include the leadership and direction of the OIG's staff of professional auditors in the performance of operational and financial audits of District programs and functions. His responsibilities also include the oversight of the annual city-wide financial audit.

Mr. King brings over 30 years of auditing experience in various aspects of the audit profession. Following graduate school he worked in public accounting as a CPA for 3 years and made the transition to Corporate Internal Auditing, where he soon progressed to management level positions spanning 20 years with the firms Unisys, Bertelsmann Inc (BMG music/Random House Publishing); Broniec Associates; AmerisourceBergen Corp and Vishay Intertechnology. He also has been a counselor for SCORE counseling small business start-ups.

A graduate of the University of Michigan (BBA) and Eastern Michigan University (MBA), Mr. King is a Certified Public Accountant(CPA), a Certified Internal Auditor(CIA), a Certified Internal Controls Auditor(CICA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner(CFE). In addition, he has received several prestigious awards, including the Unisys Achievement Award for Excellence, an Honored member of Who’s Who Worldwide and Honored member of Who’s Who of American Business. He is also a member of the AICPA, the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Association of Inspectors General.
